MARTINEZ, Ga. – The Peach Belt Conference released their preseason polls for the upcoming cross country seasons and it saw the Lander Men’s and Women’s Cross
Country teams receive their highest preseason ranking since the program was revived in 2017.
The men’s team was picked sixth with 24 points and the women were picked seventh with 27 points. The men were five points behind fifth place Clayton State and the
women were 13 points behind the Lakers in sixth.
Four-time defending conference champion, Augusta, was picked as the unanimous favorite on the men’s and the Flagler Saints, winners of the last five PBC titles, were
the unanimous favorites on the women’s side.
Under first-year head coach Aaron King, the Bearcats return two runners for the men and three runners for the women.
The season gets started for both teams on September 1st at the Eye Opener in Spartanburg, S.C
