“That’s a wrap!” Dr. Walter Iriarte (pictured), assistant professor of media and communication at Lander University, presents the final lecture of the Community Lecture Series for the 2022-23 academic year. Iriarte’s presentation, titled “TikTok Evangelism,” examined the growth in online presence of religious groups, and how Christian “TikTokers” utilize the popular social media platform to share their beliefs. The Community Lecture Series is hosted by the Arts Center of Greenwood in partnership with the University, and has featured several members of Lander’s faculty who have given exciting presentations on topics of interest to the Greenwood community.
