Lander Holds Nursing Career Fair
Story by Jeff Lagrone
As part of their coursework, Lander University nursing students receive instruction in resume preparation, interview skills and professional development. Nursing career fairs, like the one held on Wednesday, Jan. 26, provide an opportunity for students to meet a variety of potential employers, according to Dr. Holisa Wharton, dean of the William Preston Turner School of Nursing. Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System, Anmed Health, Bon Secours Health Systems, Self Regional Healthcare and the U.S. Navy were among the 14 employers taking part in the event, which was coordinated by Lander’s Office of Career Services.
