Reed wins Peach Belt Conference Specialist of the Week:

For the first time in program history, a Lander volleyball player has earned three Peach Belt Conference weekly honors in a single season, as Madilyn Reed was tabbed on Monday as the PBC Specialist of the Week for the third time this year.

In a 3-0 win over Georgia College on Friday, Reed tallied 46 assists and 13 digs for her 14th double-double of the season. She followed that performance with a career-high 57 assists, 18 digs, and six kills, also a career high, in Lander’s 3-2 victory over Augusta on Saturday.

The award is Lander’s fifth PBC weekly honor of the season, setting a new program record.

The Bearcats are the No. 2 seed in the upcoming PBC Tournament, which we be held in Finis Horne Arena on Nov. 10-11. Lander will face the winner of Augusta/Francis Marion at 6:30 p.m. in the semifinals on Saturday night.
