Lander notches 17th-place finish at Bobcat Invitational:
The Lander women’s cross country team finished 17th on Saturday morning at the Bobcat Invitational, hosted by Georgia College.
Katie Abare was Lander’s top performer, running a time of 27:36 to finish 96th. Sarah Trotter clocked a 29:54, followed by Amanda Shackleton just seven seconds later.
Maria Coletti finished with a time of 34:37 and Ashlyn Parker recorded a time of 40:00.
The Bearcats finished ahead of Clark Atlanta and Fort Valley State.
Lander will be back on the course on Nov. 3 when they take part in the Peach Belt Conference Championship in Beech Island, S.C.
