No. 10 men’s soccer earns 0-0 draw at Chowan:
The 10th-ranked Lander men’s soccer team earned its second draw of the season on Wednesday afternoon, battling Chowan to a 0-0 deadlock.
The Bearcats (10-1-2) outshot the Hawks (8-2-2) 14-6 on the day and used a pair of saves from Jacob Withers in overtime to preserve the draw. Lander has shut out nine opponents this season, including eight of its last 10.
Withers recorded three saves in the match, while Chowan’s Elliot Chadderton made five for the Hawks.
The Bearcats return to conference action on Saturday as they face Georgia Southwestern on the road at 5:00 p.m.
