Bearcats record eighth-place finish at Koala Classic in Columbia:

 The Lander women’s cross country team finished eighth on Saturday morning at the Koala Classic.

Katie Abare led the Bearcats with a 17th-place finish, clocking a time of 23:11. Sarah Trotter recorded a time of 23:37 to finished 20th and Catey Rithianos finished in 23:54 to come in 28th.

Ashlyn Parker finished 55th with a time of 30:12 and Kara Love clocked a time of 35:28 to finish 66th.

Lander will return to action on Oct. 20 at the Bobcat Invitational in Milledgeville, Ga.
