Lander finishes 20th at Upstate Invite for first team result of the season:
The Lander women’s cross country team raced to a 20th-place finish on Saturday morning at the Upstate Invite. The Bearcats finished ahead of rival Erskine and in-state foe Claflin.
Sarah Trotter led the Bearcats with a time of 23:50 and Amanda Shackleton followed with a 24:48 finish. Catey Rithianos clocked a 24:58 on the day.
Ashlyn Parker and Kara Love rounded out the Lander squad, finishing at 30:30 and 35:50, respectively.
Lander will travel to Columbia next Saturday to compete in the Koala Classic.
