Lander earns 12th-place finish at Upstate Invite:
The Lander men’s cross country team earned a 12th-place finish at the Upstate Invite on Saturday morning, finishing ahead of five teams, including Wofford, Gardner-Webb and Claflin.
Fergus O’Rourke clocked the best time for the Bearcats, finishing at 28:55, good for 63rd-place. Brad Daniels finished 86th with a time of 30:22 and Zach Hiott ended in 91st with a 30:34 finishing time. Trent Powers came in 99th after finishing in 30:58.
Chase Couch finished in 31:40 and Sam Smith clocked a time of 33:13. Josh Chapman finished in 34:03 with Samonzy Wiggins just two seconds behind him. Evin Fortenberry recorded a time of 35:06 and Aidan Kramer finished in 38:24.
The Bearcats will compete in the Koala Classic in Columbia next Saturday.
