Krafka, Reed tabbed as Peach Belt Conference weekly award winners:

After leading the Lander volleyball team to three wins, including a victory in the conference opener, last week, Kaitlyn Krafka and Madilyn Reed have been named the Peach Belt Conference Player and Specialist of the week, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Krafka’s PBC Player of the Week honor comes after a milestone week in which the freshman paced the Bearcats to wins over Limestone and Francis Marion with her sixth and seventh consecutive double-doubles, including a career-high 21 kills and 26 digs against FMU. Krafka also posted 17 kills against Clark Atlanta. She leads the conference in total attacks, kills and kills per set.

Reed earned her second career Specialist of the Week award after posting double-doubles against Limestone and Francis Marion. The Graniteville, S.C., native set a career-high with 49 assists against Limestone, then broke the mark with 51 against Francis Marion. Reed leads the Peach Belt in assists and assists per set. She is the only fresman in program history with multiple Specialist of the Week honors.

Lander has now claimed three PBC weekly honors through the first five weeks of the season. The Bearcat sweep of the weekly honors is the program’s first since 2014.

The Bearcats travel to USC Aiken tonight before facing Flagler on the road Friday night.
