Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education is now an established organization with its own chapter at Lander University. Tia Adger, founder of the Chi Delta chapter, gives credit to education majors who reached out to her with an interest in starting a chapter at Lander.

Adger’s goal, along with others in the College of Education, is to make a change and allow future teachers to gain philosophies and know how to advocate for their students in their community. “We want to change the community. We want to really make an impact and show everybody how important education really is.”

Celebrating accomplishments and achievements is important to everyone involved in developing the Kappa Delta Pi chapter at Lander. Adger states, “Here is where we have the opportunity to celebrate people who are striving to do well, and that is really what Kappa Delta Pi is all about.”

To Adger, it is important for Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education to have the support of the students and professors in the College of Education in order to make this positive change they are all hoping to see.
