STORYLINES:
• Lander begins its 42nd season of women’s basketball and its 13th under the tutelage of head coach Kevin Pederson.
• The Bearcats are 4-0 in their last four home openers.
• Saturday’s game marks the final home opener for seniors Breshay Johnson, Mylea McKenith and Zuzana Talackova.
• Junior guard Chelsea Mitchell leads the Bearcats with 10.0 rebounds per game, while Johnson paces the team with 17.5 points per game.
• Limestone posted a 27-5 record last season, advancing to the Conference Carolinas tournament championship game and the NCAA Tournament. The Bearcats handed the Saints two of their five losses, defeating Limestone 81-72 in the regular season and 70-50 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
