The month of October is Zeta Tau Alpha’s philanthropy month, in which they host a series of events to raise awareness for breast cancer. The first event of the month is held on October 4th at Moe’s Southwest Grill. Here, they encouraged all students to come and buy food because a certain amount of proceeds went to raising awareness for breast cancer. The second event is a pageant, which is on October 7th. The cost of admission for the pageant goes back to breast cancer education and awareness because Zeta Tau Alpha is supporting the event. This pageant is open to anyone who is interested and wants to participate. Towards the end of the month of October, Zeta will be hosting their pink-out week, which will take place from the 23rd to the 26th. This week will be filled with different activities each day that educate Lander students about breast cancer and continue raising awareness.
