GREENWOOD – After leading the Lander volleyball team to an undefeated weekend with home wins over UNC Pembroke and Francis Marion, sophomore Hannah McManus was named the Peach Belt Conference Specialist of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday (September 19) morning.
McManus averaged 6.71 digs per set as the Bearcats improved to 9-1 on the season. The sophomore libero from Boiling Springs, S.C., had 47 total digs over the weekend. She had 19 in a sweep of the Braves and added 28 in a 3-1 win over the Patriots. She added eight assists and a pair of aces on the week. McManus is ranked second in the PBC and 18th in the nation with 5.84 digs per set. She is also second in the PBC in total digs.
