STORYLINES
• Lander is 17-8-3 all-time against the Lakers and 6-1 in the last seven meetings. Last season, Lander beat Clayton State 3-1 on the road behind three first half goals. In Clayton State’s last visit to Greenwood the season prior, the Bearcats won 1-0 behind a goal from Hugo Delhommelle for what was then Lander’s ninth consecutive victory.
• The Bearcats are 4-0-1 in their last five PBC openers.
• Lander is unbeaten at Van Taylor Stadium in its last 10 matches in Greenwood. The Bearcats’ last loss at home came on September 4, 2016.
• The Bearcats are 8-0-1 in their last nine home matches against PBC opponents.
• Junior defender Jordan Skelton and freshman goalkeeper Dean Cowdroy were tabbed as the PBC Defender and Goalkeeper of the Week last week.
• Junior midfielder Oliver Brock and senior forward Sam Lofts are currently the only two teammates in the conference with three assists each on the season.
• Brock registered assists on both of Lander’s goals in Wednesday’s loss to Anderson.
