Lander’s Student Government Association

The Lander University Student Government Association is currently holding their elections for the 2017-2018 school year. The election dates for class senator positions are from September 12th to the 15th via Bearcat Web online.
The elected group of senators will meet the second and fourth Thursdays of every month from 3:30 to 4:30. The first full Student Government Association meeting will be held on September 28th at 3:30 in the Lois Grier Room in the Grier Student Center.
All candidates interested in student government must be enrolled as full-time students, be in good disciplinary and academic standing with Lander University and have a current GPA of 2.5 or higher.
There are several positions that are voted upon for student government. There is the President for SGA, the Vice President for Student Services, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, and finally the Secretary. Randy Bouknight is the Vice President for Student Affairs for the Student Government Association. Students that are currently holding student government positions include Wesley Hamilton, Gebonne Bradley, Emily Slice, and Madison Marriott.
