POOLER, Ga. – The No. 15-ranked Lander men’s golf team is in fourth place out of 12 teams after the first day of the two-day, three-round Pirate Spring Invitational hosted by Armstrong State University at the par-72, Savannah Quarters Country Club.
The third and final round will be played Tuesday.
Lander’s Conor Richards (76-67) is in fourth place at one under-par 143, Michal Pospisil (77-77) is tied for 24th at 154, Jon Parker (79-76) is tied for 30th at 155, Michael Brodie (75-81) is tied for 37th at 156 and Jordan Ainley (85-86) is in 67th.
Nova Southeastern holds the team lead after the first day with a 577 total. The Sharks are followed by: 2. North Alabama 586, 3. Young Harris 591, 4. Lander 608, 5. Valdosta State 610, 6. West Georgia 613, 7. Flagler 614, 8. Armstrong State 617, T-9. Georgia College and Clayton State 623, 11. Albany State 624, and 12. North Georgia 626.
