No. 13 golf ties for 5th at Spring Kickoff Invitational
The No. 13-ranked Lander men’s golf team finished tied for fifth Tuesday in the two-day, three-round Spring Kickoff Invitational, which was hosted by Lincoln Memorial University at the par-71, 6,780-yard Fleming Island Plantation.
Lincoln Memorial won the team title with a low 865, and was followed by: 2. Young Harris 868, 3. Flagler 875, 4. Belmont Abbey 885, 5. Lander, Carson-Newman and Palm Beach Atlantic, 890, 8. Tiffin 892, 9. Barton 896, 10. Catawba 907, 11. Wingate 909, 12. King 919, 13. Walters State 927, 14. Cape Fear 963, and 15. Shorter 970.
Individually for Lander, Michal Pospisil 73-73-69) tied for 4th with 215, Conor Richards (69-77-74) tied for 16th with 220, Jordan Ainley (78-72-71) tied for 19th with 221, Chris Kendall (82-78-77) finished tied for 62nd with 237, and Michael Brodie (79-84-80) tied for 71st at 243.
