Lander’s Reynolds selected Peach Belt Player of the Week
GREENWOOD – Lander’s Ty’hesha Reynolds, a 5-5 senior from Savannah, Ga., was selected as the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week for women’s basketball it was announced by the PBC office today.
Reynolds became the 12th player in league history to put up 40 or more points as she tied a Lander school record with 41 in a 21-point win over No. 23 Clayton State. The senior guard from drained a career-high six three-pointers in the game. For the week, Reynolds averaged 29.0 points per game along with 5.0 rebounds and 4.5 assists. She scored 17 with six boards and six assists in a 26-point win over Georgia Southwestern, handing the Hurricanes their first conference loss. Her 41 points is the most by any player in a single game in the PBC this season and tied for second in all of NCAA Division II. She leads the PBC and is ranked 21st nationally with 19.4 ppg, she also leads the league in three-pointers made.
