NEWBERRY, S.C. – Sophomore midfielder Hugo Delhommelle and sophomore defender Jordan Skelton garnered All-Southeast Region honors from the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) it was announced today.
Delhommelle, a native of Rennes, France, was selected to the All-Southeast Region second team after leading Lander with eight assists and recording seven goals on the season. Delhommelle was twice tabbed as the Peach Belt Conference Player of the Week, scoring in three consecutive road matches against Erskine, Wingate and Clayton State. The first-team All-PBC selection scored four of his seven goals in the postseason, netting two in a PBC Tournament semifinal win over Flagler.
Skelton, a native of Newcastle, England, who served as Lander’s captain this season, started 18 matches, scoring one goal and leading the Bearcat defense to eight shutouts. He was a first-team All-PBC honoree and was named as the Peach Belt Conference Defender of the Week in October.
Lander finished the year with a 14-4-1 overall record and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in five seasons.
