
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Lander volleyball team earned two victories on Saturday afternoon at the SAC/PBC Challenge as the Bearcats downed Tusculum, 3-2, and Mars Hill, 3-1.
Lander topped Tusculum, 20-25, 14-25, 26-24, 26-24, 16-14, and defeated Mars Hill, 25-20, 17-25, 25-15, 25-19.
Lander improves to 17-5 overall and will travel to Augusta on Tuesday night for a Peach Belt Conference match.
Against Tusculum, Lander’s Khiani Kelly led the Bearcats with 16 kills, while Amanda Medlock tallied 11 kills and 18 digs. Kendall Korte recorded 24 digs, while Sophia Perkins registered 35 assists.
The Pioneers were led by Aubrey Hawkins (17 kills), Melissa Mazur (41 digs) and Hallie Zumack (36 assists)
Against Mars Hill, Halle Dotson blasted 25 kills, while Hannah McManus finished with 29 digs. Perkins tallied 40 assists in the win.
The Lions were paced by Lauren Hochstetler (17 kills), Victoria Kaiser (28 digs) and Andie Russell (40 assists).
