New Men’s and Women’s tennis assistant coach

Loic Minery was named as the undergraduate assistant men’s and women’s tennis coach in August 2016 at Lander University. This is his first season as a coach, as he previously played on the men’s tennis team.
Minery will be primarily responsible for on-court coaching. Other key duties will include weight training, stretching and conditioning, reviewing academic process, as well as implementing the head coach’s philosophy and player development.
“I am so excited to take on this great opportunity and can’t wait to begin working with the current team in developing their talents further” Minery said. “My goals are to be able to stay in America and use my degree and classes taken here at lander to find a job as a marketer for a corporation. I am thankful for the opportunity to use my experience as a player to help the team achieve their goals this year. I look forward to bettering myself as a person through coaching and I hope the team will accept and respect my input. “
This Mulhouse, France, native was highly successful on and off the tennis court. Playing 4 years of college he had the chance to travel across the country and play many different players, his record is currently: 123 wins with 11 losses (doubles and singles). He was named conference player of the year, as well as in his sophomore year, 3 times first team all-conference, 1 time 2nd team all-conference, twice first team all-conference in doubles, MVP in doubles, 2 time all American and male athlete of the year at Lander University. In December, 2016 Minery will be graduating with a Bachelor of Business with an emphasis on marketing and management.
