Daily Crime Reports For August

Lander University Police Department takes safety around campus very seriously.   Lander  has had a range of 20 different crime reports written for the month of August. Here is a run-down of selected crimes, that have been reported.

Saturday, August 6th at 1:44 p.m. someone reported a suspicious person in parking lot 18 here at Lander University.

Wednesday, August 17th at 10:25 a.m, someone trespassed after notice by the Grier Student Center. Thursday, August 18th, at 11:00 p.m. it was reported that a car was left unattended in the Lide parking lot.

Saturday, August 19th at 8:15 someone reported a hit and run property damage in Laura Lander parking lot.

Saturday, August 19th at 11:40 a.m. an alcohol violation was reported in Chipley Hall.

Sunday, August 21st at 2:16 a.m. it was reported that someone was carrying a stolen pistol on school property. LUPD also charged an individual for possession of marijuana in parking lot 13 here on campus.

Friday, August 26th at 1:30 a.m. , an under-aged student was charged with possession/consumption of alcohol in Centennial Hall.

Sunday, August 28th at 4:00 p.m. someone reported petite larceny in the PEES building on campus.

lander policeNo matter the crime, LUPD takes full steps in resolving the crime and being proactive in their handeling of each situation.   If students see a crime or if something looks suspicious be sure to report it to LUPD immediately.
