Lander University is inviting businesses and non-profit organizations in Greenwood and the surrounding areas to take part in its annual CommUniversity event on Wednesday, Aug. 21. For a swelling student population hailing from throughout the region, nation and the world, CommUniversity routinely attracts hundreds of Lander students who want to see what their new community has to offer.
Area businesses and organizations can utilize the event to introduce their services and products by providing samples, coupons, prizes and other promotional items that market their business. Non-profits have the opportunity to speak with students looking to volunteer in community service projects.
CommUniversity runs from noon – 2 p.m. inside the Grier Student Center and outside on Assembly Plaza. Registration is free, but space is limited, so register early. To register or learn more, contact the Office of Student Activities at (864) 388-8244 or visit Lander’s website at www.lander.edu
