Augusta, Ga. – Freshman Catey Rithianos finished 29th overall with a time of 23:55 to lead the Lander women’s cross country team at the ninth annual Jaguar Cross Country Invitational. The race marked just the second appearance by the women’s program since the year 2008.
Rithianos was the lone runner for the Bearcats in a meet that featured two fellow Peach Belt Conference members in Augusta and Clayton State. Invitational host Augusta placed seven runners in the top ten en route to the team’s first win of the season.
Lander will be back in action on Sep. 23rd in the seventh annual Bulldog Stampede hosted by Wingate University.
