It’s that time of year again, winter season at the Abbeville Opera House has officially kicked off with Neil Simon’s: The Sunshine Boys. Playing through the past two weekends and now in its final week, the show offers entertainment just a step out of Greenwood. For just $10, you can experience the show yourself September 23rd (Friday), and 24th (Saturday). Tickets are available online at theabbevilleoperahouse.com or you may reserve your tickets by calling (864) 366-2157.
The play is a tale of a vaudeville duo, the Sunshine Boys Lewis and Clark, who, “despite their comedic chemistry onstage, can’t stand each other offstage.” A series of hijinks follow after these once stage partners are convinced to reunite one last time for a highly anticipated
comedy special. Abbeville Opera House director, Michael Genevieve, will be pulling dual strings in this production of the Opera House’s 38th season by starring as well as directing alongside Harry Anderson. If you’re not already tempted to see what ‘The Sunshine Boys’ is all about, Lander’s own Paul Crutcher can be spotted in the spotlight of this one as well.
